ICCS Team Building 2018
“Today, we will make things more different for you guys, and we want to achieve one goal – in order for us to achieve more, we should have one vision.” These are the last few words that Ms. MJ Salacsacan, ICCS President, imparted to the employees at the latter part of her opening remarks.
Every year, the company organizes a Team Building for the ICCS employees. Last year’s theme was the acronym of the word TEAM – Together Everyone Achieves More. This year, they decided to work around the theme: Commitment to Excellence. Exceeding the Vision, Together. This year’s chosen theme is very relevant to the present situation of the company since ICCS continually grows as the years go on. ICCS initially started with only ten employees. Now there are almost three hundred. There is no doubt that in the company’s commitment to excellence, the vision will definitely exceed if its members will do their part in contributing to the betterment of the company.
The ICCS community arrived at Aqua Planet in Clark, Pampanga at 8:00 in the morning and after an hour of settling down, the team building activities followed. First to happen was the famous ICCS Cheerleading Competition which was joined by nine groups. The teams were given ten minutes to finalize their routine and to prepare for their respective performances. Despite the harsh heat, all of the teams showed enthusiasm towards what they were doing. Everyone also came prepared—from costumes, props, choreography, and enjoyable choice of music. The second activity was Use My Body. The objective of the game is to unite the group and to have a sense of team. It also aims to put them on the same page in terms of shared purpose, goals, and forming a positive team culture. The activity that followed was Don’t Let Me Fall. This activity was designed to align the team with their purpose and goals, to develop and maintain good working relationships between all members, and to give them an experience in working with different team members. This activity also aims to help them to come up with new ideas and experience the importance of the process to be effective in working together.
While all of the groups showed exceptional talent, creativity, and enthusiasm, this year’s over-all champions were the Red Blaze Warriors. Pink Dox Fortis placed second, and Black Cockatoo in third place.
The annual team building that ICCS holds is very vital not only to the welfare of the company, but most importantly, to the growth of the relationships formed within the ICCS community. The whole point of the activities done during the team building attempts to extend the value of camaraderie between co-workers, and to continue being excellent at what they do. ICCS zeroes in equality among the employees as well, and the annual team building is a strong platform to be able to make that value felt.
In highlighting the words of Ms. MJ Salacsacan: “We should have one vision.” Through these interactive team buildings, the company’s vision is further exercised as a family, and this is what will remind everyone to continue working together for the continued growth of ICCS. As a growing company, ICCS makes it a point that fulfilling activities are also being done outside of work. ICCS values the future of their employees – ICCS works for the employees because the company recognizes everyone’s worth.
